WOD

This is what I'm going to try today. Note that I braided a rope for myself using an old rock climbing rope. http://www.seekyee.com/Slings/howtos/8strand1.htm

Not sure what you guys could substitute for the rope climb, but you'll think of something.

15' Rope climb, 3 ascents
10 Toes to bar
21 Walking lunge steps with 45lb plate held overhead

12/9/2011 - Hill sprints

Friday is going to be hill sprint day.  Because I'm getting on a boat tomorrow, ehehee, there will be no working out at lunch.  So... map out a .2 mile uphill place (or elevate your treadmill) and run all out.   Do 5 of them for a 1 mile total.   Walk back.   .2 miles is a lot farther than you think when you are sprinting uphill and outside.

Robby

12/8/2011 - Run / Squat / Handstands

Member Mike posted that he would like to do 3 1/2 mile splits on the treadmill at max pace with a 2 minute rest between.   That just doesn't seem like enough.  So today's workout is 3 1/2 mile splits interspersed with 20 hindu squats and 30 second handstands.

Ari... Where the heck are ya?  Lisa?  Are you in?

Burpee Pullups - 12/7/2012

Welcome to GrindItOut.  The place for like-minded calesthenic, bodyweight, and light dumbell excercise fanatics that obsess about fitness and diet.  My goal is for this to be a place that my friends will join me, challenge me, and have fun with me on a daily basis.  Like CrossFit, I hope to post a workout each day (my friends can post too).  Unlike CrossFit, I'm not a big fan of heavy weight / bar excersizes (or machines for that matter).   Thus, I want these workouts to be 20-30 minutes long and intense so that I can get in a quick workout during lunch, eat a quick lunch of rice and beans (best lunch ever) and get back to work within an hour.   So, think up your best workouts, name them, and post them here.  A little competition never hurts as well.   Today my buddy Mike and I challenged each other to 100 burpee pullups.   If you are not familiar with burpees, jump down, do a pushup, and jump up to standing again.  You just did a burpee.  If you do a pullup between each of them, that's a burpee pullup.  I did 100 in 25:18 for the first day of GrindingItOut.  What shall we do tomorrow?????????????
