There are a few favorite places on the web that I should share.   Some are sites that I frequent and some are sites that I owe homage to for their place in my fitness journey.

#1 has to be http://www.fitday.com/ .  Hands down, there is no other way for me to maintain or lose weight other than calorie counting.   If I eat 2000 calories a day, I will lose 1 pound per week.  If I don't count, I eat 3000 + per day and eventually it catches up.

In the beginning there was http://www.mattfurey.com/ .   I love the spirit of Matt's workouts.  There are no weights.  It's all bodyweight excersizes.   For working out alone and without videos, his stuff is great.   I love that he hates LSD (long slow distance running) and favors hill sprints.

From there I graduated to P90x.  http://www.beachbody.com/  I have booked around 4 years and hundreds of hours on my P90x DVDs.   The P90x2 DVDs are in the mail.   And don't forget Insanity... always a pleasure.

Lately, my friends (pretty much Mike) has grown tired of P90x and is a big fan of http://www.crossfit.com/ .  I'm a fan too, but I don't like the clean and jerks, squats, and general body-building workouts.   I like the grind it out workouts.  The do this 10 times, do that 20 times, do this 30 times.... repeat 10 times kind of workouts.  I like the do this 100 times for time workouts.

Thus, all of these sites, books, dvds, have contributed to my view of fitness and diet.  I will add more in the future, but this is a great place to start.
